Pairwise helps a Shopify merchant prepare possible product add-ons from selected catalogue information and eligible links in product descriptions. The output is a set of suggestions to inspect—not an automatic publication decision.

1. Choose what to prepare

Use Scan my store to start preparation directly. If the results show the full catalogue is too large, or a scope failure appears, choose Change range. Under Available range, choose Entire catalogue or an eligible collection. Then select Prepare the entire catalogue or Prepare this range. Start with items whose descriptions make the product and variants clear.

2. Prepare and review

Review the prepared product identities and evidence. Edit or reject a suggestion when it needs correction; a pairing without enough compatibility detail stays held. Pairwise can follow eligible links contained in selected product descriptions. It does not search every manufacturer website or use page highlights outside the supported input.

3. Save the theme setting

Turn on the Pairwise theme embed in Shopify’s theme editor and press Shopify’s Save. Opening the editor or preparing a pairing does not turn the embed on. Return to Pairwise and use Check again when available to confirm the saved theme state.

4. Publish only the offers you choose

After the theme state is confirmed, use Publish all N for the reviewed offers you intend to show. Theme activation and offer publication are separate steps. Keep a held pairing out of publication until its evidence supports the relationship.

5. Manage offer visibility later

After publication, use an offer control to unpublish an individual add-on or Pause all add-ons to stop showing the published set. The theme embed is a separate setting and can remain saved while offers are paused. See pricing and terms for billing consequences.

6. Check the shopper placement

Separate checks covered product-page, cart-page, and cart-drawer behavior on Horizon 4.2.0. Those results are placement-specific and do not establish every theme version or cart implementation. See theme and placement support for the boundary and the synthetic example for the complete sample flow.
