“Source-backed” means a pairing can be inspected against details available within the supported input path. It does not mean Pairwise has searched the entire web or independently verified every product in a merchant’s catalogue.

What Pairwise uses

The merchant selects products to prepare. Pairwise can use those product details and eligible links contained in the selected product descriptions. Review the Privacy policy for how information used by the service is handled. Current selected-catalogue limits are shown on this page and are separate from plan pricing.

Page highlights and manufacturer pages that are not linked from a selected description are outside this source path. Pairwise does not promise a manual fact-entry workflow to fill gaps.

What happens when details are missing

In the synthetic example, the bottle description identifies the main product and opening; the separate cap description supplies the matching-thread detail. Benchmark Travel Cap has no stated compatible model, thread, or opening size, so it remains held. The example presents both supported products as selected catalogue items; it does not depict a link between their descriptions.

The merchant may review or reject a held pairing. A review is a decision to withhold or assess the item; it does not add new evidence or confirm a fit. Do not publish it as a compatible offer until relevant supporting details exist.

What to check

Look for exact product and variant identity, a clear relationship, and the detail that makes the accessory suitable for that main product. If a critical dimension or connection is absent, treat the relationship as unresolved.

See the complete synthetic accessory example, getting-started guidance, or how Pairwise works. The example output is not live model-quality evidence and does not prove customer outcomes.
