Open the prepared add-on you want to change, make the edits, and use the contextual Save bar. Save and Discard are the two actions for unsaved changes. If Shopify’s contextual save bar is unavailable, Pairwise shows the same actions in its in-app save bar.
Saving an already-published add-on updates it live. Saving an add-on marked Not published keeps it unpublished. Check the status shown on the card or in its editor before leaving.
What you can change
Depending on the prepared offer and the current theme support, the editor can include:
- the approved companion products and variants;
- the purchase Format, such as Individual companion, Add together, Add with product or Complete set;
- the Placement — Product page, Cart page or Cart drawer where that format and theme allow it;
- the offer Heading and Style;
- the companion quantity where the selected format allows it.
The editor disables controls that are unavailable for the selected format or unconfirmed theme. For example, Complete set is product-page only. Add with product combines the shopper’s selected add-on with the main product action; the actual cart surface still depends on the offer’s placements and theme. Save or discard your changes
- Review the product, variant, companion and placement before editing. Use Why this fits to return to retained source text where available.
- Change only the fields you intend to change.
- Choose Save to keep the edits. While the save is running, Pairwise shows Saving…. A successful save of a published add-on says Saved. Live on your store. A successful save of an unpublished add-on says it is not published yet and must be switched on before it appears.
- Choose Discard to drop unsaved changes. If you try to leave with edits, choose whether to save and continue or discard and continue.
If the editor marks a value invalid, correct it before saving; choose Discard to drop that change.
If Shopify does not confirm that a published update went live, read Pairwise’s saved status before trying the action again. This guide describes the confirmed full-price offer path; it does not present discount changes as an accepted public workflow.
Before it appears on the storefront
Offer publication and the Shopify theme embed are separate. If the theme embed has not been saved, follow Turn Pairwise add-ons on in your store. If the add-on is already published, saving an edit does not require an extra publish step. If it is not published, use its publication switch only after reviewing the result.
Placement checks are specific. Pairwise was checked on Horizon 4.2.0 separately for product page, cart page and cart drawer; see theme and placement support. Dawn and Focal integrations with older private checks do not establish the same behavior on your store.
